How to Volunteer at the Kelso Public Library

Library volunteer responsibilities will include:

  • Shelve books and other materials.
  • Assist with programs and projects.
  • Dust books and shelves.
  • Shelf read.
  • Clean materials.
  • Other duties as the needs of the library dictate.

All volunteers are required to fill out a Volunteer Application.
Applications can be obtained at the Kelso Public Library, or the link here.
Applications should be turned in to Library Staff at the library.
Volunteers under the age of 18 must have all application materials signed by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer at the Kelso Public Library.

Volunteers are selected based on their qualifications in relation to the needs of the library at any given time.
Volunteers under consideration are subject to a background check.
If selected, volunteers will be contacted for an interview and/or orientation.
Acceptance of an application is at the library's discretion.
