Friends
of the Kelso Library
The Friends of the Kelso Library is an organization of volunteers who support the Kelso Public Library. We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation. Through fundraising and other Library promotional activities we supplement the Library's regular operating budget, allowing the Library to provide additional children's programs, teen programs, books, equipment and furniture.
The Friends of the Kelso Library meet on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 pm. at the Library. Meeting dates in 2008 are January 28 – February 25 – March 24 – April 28 – Thursday, May 22 (Dinner meeting) – June 23 – September 22 – and October 27. Membership applications are available at the Library.
Book Sales
The Friends hold a used book sale approximately every other month, downstairs in the Library, from 10 am. until 2 pm. Used hardbacks, paperbacks, juvenile and adult, fiction and non-fiction are available. Sometimes videos and music cassettes are also available. Call the Library for times.
“Twin City Winter Bazaar”
The Friends sponsor the “Twin City Winter Bazaar” late November or early December, offering handmade items for sale. Please call the library for dates and location.
